Dear Sisters and Brothers in Ukraine

People in the Czech Republic, including Scouts and Guides, have been following the development in your country over the past few months with utmost concern. We are worried about the safety of people in the streets and alarmed by the violations of civil liberties of the citizens of Ukraine. We do believe people must be allowed to express their opinions freely and to demonstrate their discontent.

Deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of lives and big number of injuries in the streets of Kyiv over the past few days, we strongly believe people should not be endangered for showing dissatisfaction with their political representation and we hope the situation will improve in the shortest possible time.

If there is anything Scouts and Guides in the Czech Republic could do to make your situation easier in this moment or any time in the future, please let us know. We would love to be able to support you in any meaningful way.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Ukraine, our thoughts are with you in these troubled times. We do hope your country will come off this strong, free and open and a good place for young people, Scouts and Guides among them, to live their dreams.

On behalf of the Scouts and Guides in the Czech Republic
